• Today: 6.4 million followers

• One God
• Jesus is not God, rather God's first creation
• Reject the Trinity
• Deny existance of Hell - those not saved will be annihilated
• Only 144,000 people will go to Heaven with God and Jesus
• Other saved people will live in paradise on earth - no sickness, death, unhappiness, etc
• Believe they are the only "true" Christians
• Believe events in Revelation began in 1914 and have been getting worse ever since

• New World Tanslation of the Scriptures

• Baptism at a responsible age
• Witnessing and Evangelism - door to door. This is central to religious life
• Do not celebrate holidays or birthdays
• Meet three times a week for services at Kingdom Hall

• No blood tranfusions
• Send out a magazine called The Watchtower
• Do not participate in politics
• Do not salute flag or enlist in military
• Use stake instead of cross as symbol
